12 Volt Replacement Ballasts for Thin-Lite Fixtures

These are replacement ballasts for Thin-Lite 12 volt DC light fixtures. They should work in other applications, such as converting a standard 115 volt AC fixture to 12 volts DC, but we make no guarantees that it will work with any particular light other than Thin-Lite. We know that people have used them to make their own black lights, fishing lights, and custom vehicle lights, but we can provide no details on how to.

The Iota High Power ballast is usually better for converting existing 115 VAC lights, for "do it yourself" special lights, and for lights that use higher power tubes, especially in the 40 watt and up range and specialty tubes.

Thin-Lite ballasts can be a pain to replace, since they are riveted, and the lack of any wiring diagrams from Thin-Lite does not help much. If you don't have all the tools, we recommend you just buy a new replacement fixture.
