16-3P VNTC BC PVC/NYL O/A FOIL SHD PVC JKT 90C 600V BLK/WHT Shld Stranded bare copper conductors, PVC-Nylon insulation, Sun-resistant PVC jacket, Tested per UL requirements for Type TC cables having THWN or THHN (TFFN) conductors. 90C, 600V, Foil Shield with Drain wire. Color coded Black/White with colored tracers for each pair.

This is the cable we recommend for use with the TriMetric TM2020 battery monitor and Xantrex TM500. In most cases it can also be used for the Xantrex Link-10, since in most installations only 5 of the 8 wires are used.

Tray Cable: This is the standard wire for all outdoor applications. Water and sunlight resistant. UL approved for use without conduit. Also known as type TC (tray cable). Complies with NEC article 340 and is rated as sunlight and moisture resistant. Suitable for direct burial. Minimum order is 25 feet.

2A-1603 POS: 6-wire (3-pair) shielded Tray cable #16 AWG. Twisted pairs. For use with Trace & TriMetric battery system monitors for shunt leads, and various other remote sensing such as dual float switches, Digital amp meter, etc. Use for any application requiring 4, 5, or 6 wires. The bare shield drain wire may also be used as a 7th wire for common or ground.

** Note on grounding shielded cable: If you use the shield ground, only ONE end should be grounded, usually the end nearest to the best ground connection.

Note: - This wire is intended mainly where the cable going between where the shunt is located and where the meter will be mounted is all or partly outdoors or underground. It may be overkill for systems that are all indoors, such as in RV's.
