Besides battery, will also operate from a solar panel that can supply about 3.2 amps or more - any panel over 60 watts should run it. Higher wattage panel will give you more early and late day time operation. We recommend a 60 to 75 watt panel for solar direct.

These are light duty pumps (regardless of what Shurflo says about them), and not really meant to run 24/7. If you do that, they probably won't last more than a few months.
