These are the Concorde AGM Sun Xtender batteries that we normally keep in stock (others available on special order). The Sun Xtender carries a one year full replacement warranty (from date of installation). We also carry the Chairman wheel chair batteries - same basic specifications.

There is a common misconception that AGM batteries are not Lead-Acid batteries. In fact, they use exactly the same Lead-Acid chemistry as standard deep-cycle flooded, gel, and automotive batteries. The difference is in the internal construction, not in the chemistry.

SunExtender vs LifeLine batteries: Both are made by Concorde and are very similar in basic construction and technology. They carry a different warranty, and there are some slight differences internally. The LifeLine also usually have the SAE or dual type marine terminals instead of the bolt only terminals that most of the SunExtenders have. In many applications, they are interchangable. You will not get the 5-year LifeLine warranty if you use SunExtender batteries in marine or RV applications, but the in general the SunExtender batteries are cheaper because you are not paying for that warranty.

Note: The PVX line all come with the "T" type, or flat bolt-on terminals unless noted. You get a better and more reliable battery connection with less likelyhood of loose connections with the bolt on studs. All Sun Xtender batteries are rated at the 24 hour rate. Standard Terminals: All "T" batteries now incorporate copper alloy M8 terminals except the PVX-340T & PVX-420T which are M6. All batteries supplied with silicon bronze bolts, nuts, and washers as required for installation. No exposed lead terminals. This change was made to improve environmental safety.

These are NOT gelled cells, do NOT mix them with gelled, as gel cells take a slightly lower charging voltage.
