Security hardware dramatically increases the difficulty and time required for a thief to dismantle a PV array and steal its components. Breakaway nuts work well in conjunction with top mounting clamps and footing bolts.

Note that starhead bolt heads do not fit into SolarMount rail slots (where standard bolt heads are inaccessible). Use them where heads are exposed - with bottom mounting module clips, for example.
